Mercury "Perfect Seal" question?
Replacing a gasket etc. on my 600sci heat exchanger.
Service manual calls for "Perfect Seal #92-34227-1" on the o-rings.
Is there an equivalent to this at the local parts store?

I think the Perfect Seal may be a GM product...at least GM has same sealer in a can labeled GM. I don't think any of the Permatex products are an equal. Perfect Seal is a great sealer for gaskets and the block and intake fittings, etc. Excess also cleans up very easily. IMO, it is worth having a can in your tool box. The shelf life is years...if you tighten the cap
