You should pull the motor to change the cam unless you have lots of room in front. It is very important to degree a cam in properly, particularly in a marine (wet exhaust) evironment. This would be hard to do through a 2" hole. FWIW
Just Kidding, seriously, pull the motor, you'll be glad you did when you need to get all the bloody timing cover bolts out and you keep dropping them in the bilge! |
