Default New Merc 525

I have a new 36 Outlaw ordered with 500 EFI's and XZ drives. I was just talking to a buddy Saturday that had been to the Miami show and asked why I did not order the new 525's with the ITS drives.

I have seen just enough to know these are the coming thing, but not enough to know if they would be worth me looking into at this stage. He was not sure if they were out yet, and said he was told they were only a $3000 option above what I was already getting per engine/drive combo.

They will not start building my boat for another three weeks or so. Is this something I should look into?

What have you guys heard.

Thanks Mark

I would certainly look into it is has a lot of features your cannot get on the 500EFI Smart craft, individule spark coils. better flowing heads, 25 more HP and closed cooling.

Also check that pricing,,, I dont think thatwould include the motor upgrade AND the ITS system.

Candyman 35 ,,, if you read this,,, how much did they quote you extra for the ITS...... also it had to be at least with a 500 efi engine or they wouldnt do it for him.

I must have missed this post. Tony Esposito quoted me $3,500 each when purchased with an XR drive. I spoke with him on the phone in August. Fountain wants $6,000.00 list. My dealer said it would net down to $4,500.00 a side. Most manufactures are asking between $6,000.00 and $7,500.00 list price.

You think this might end up being the new Factory Class racing motor?
