I pulled the 496 HO out of my 2005 Donzi 22 Classic. I put in a 2007 HP525 EFI. Most of the stuff hooked right up to the new motor including the large round elec. connector. My main problem is with the trim sender and limiter. In my boat I have on the port side a "harness assembly transom mcm". This harness has the connectors for the trim stuff and drive fluid reservoir. The problem is that this harness dead-ends at a large rectangular connector with 13 wires. It is black and purple on the inside. This connector plugs into the 496 engine harness. Is there some kind of jumper I need to put on the harness connector in the boat? If not, what do I do? Sorry, I can't post pics until I upgrade, which I will be doing soon.

This will go from your engine harness to the digital (3 wire) limiter and sender. It does not work with 2 wire analog obviously. There are 2 or 3 other types of connectors on this harness that you probably will not use (digital tabs, steering, etc..)
My 496 harness has provisioning for both, analog and digital. It accomodates the analog guages at the helm along with all the SmartCraft plugs and sensors as well. You may have a different harness as some of these engines had analog only. Some like mine had both. Not sure if there was a digital only or not..
I may have one I can give you a deal on if you want it.
