Default Cracked exhaust manifold?

Is there a way to determine if an exhaust manifold is cracked? Or do you simply eliminate all other causes (cracked head, bad head gasket, cracked block) and assume?

Wondering if a local marine shop has a way to determine if I bring it in?

No Pressure tester: take it off and fill water jacket with CRC if its cracked you'll see the leak. You can buy CRC in a gallon jug. Drain it back in jug and save it for next time.

So simply fill the water passages with CRC? What about using water itself to check instead of CRC?
