What you need to do with the links he gave you is copy it then past it in your main internet address bar and it will open the sevrice manuals for you to read, So you don't need to buy most of them with the links he gave you. But it dose take 4-6 min to open at lest for me. I did a fast look over the manual and it only tells how to rebuild the counter rotating lower unit, I did not see any thing on if you need to do any thing with the shift cables or not, The only thing it talks about is right hand and left hand rotating and what to do to the cables to make it work. Are you buying a new drive out of the box or used? If new it should come with a little manual, It has been a long time since I have seen a counter rotating drive but if I remember right their should be a red tag hooked to the new drive saying what to do with it I believe But I could be wrong.Well I know this dose not help you out Sorry I just can't remember and I do not want to tell you the wrong thing. Good luck with it I am sure some one will remember if you need to do anything different to it.

OK, take one off, put one on and reverse shift cable at the control. I found this maybe it wil help.

NOT ALL DRIVES CAN COUNTER ROTATE!
The drive must be specifically designed to be a counter rotation drive.
Attempting to run a standard rotation drive in a counter rotation direction
will positively destroy the drive in just a few minutes.

In most applications the RH (standard) drive is mounted on the starboard side.
The LH (counter rotation) drive is mounted on the port side.
The LH drive must have a LH propeller. The LH shift cable must be reversed at the binnacle to pull instead of push
for forward gear. Most controls allow for either direction by simply repositioning
the cable mounting location and attachment.

Always use extreme care when reinstalling the drives that they are properly
installed on the correct side or extreme expensive damage will occur.

Thats weird, that link should have taken you directly to the manual.

If you copy and paste the link to the address bar, it works and you can view the manual for free.

Another (and better option) is to right click on the link and select Save Target As and it'll download directly to your hard drive. Then you have it for future reference.
