Actually called a fusable link if memory serves. I would replace them with breakers or newer style blade fuses. which will trip faster and not have to heat up and melt which could damage other wires and parts before tripping. Or worse yet, start a fire. My 2cts worth and an easy change out.

And more importantly it'd be replacable on a weekend from a hardware store.

As soon as I can get a replacement fuse I'll be good to go, so it could have been much worse. Just sucks it cost me a nice weekend.
We all make mistakes and I think once you replace the fuse you will be ready to rock out!
