Engine cuts out when i put it into gear

I can't really answer that. took the boat to an engine shop, they said they had to reseat the valves adjust carb.and so on but at it was pretty pricey, when all i asked for was to tune the motor, but it runs and that's was what i wanted..me personally, it was probally a jetting issue
