Yes, I'd like to see the pics. My boat was built with an aftermarket box(Nu Tech Firepower), designed to work with the TB Dist. When 1 of them went after 20 years I opted to keep the TB Dist and get the 6M marine box from Crane. It was a straight swap didn't have to change a thing.

I think the Crane numbers are HI-6M M for Marine. I almost positve that's the number on the face of the unit. These units have 6 built in ignition curves with a rev limiter.

Mine have been on this bracket since 2003.I like having everything mounted to the motor, all self contained, you can pull the motor off the dyno and go straight to the boat, exhaust, water pump, fuel pump, oil and water system all on the motor just like it comes out of the boat, keeping it simple.I first made it in alum, cracked it in the tight bend, instead of putting a gusset to keep it from moving, I just made it out of .060 stainless, stays polished out better anyway

hope this helps
Rob

Yes, Crane Fireball Hi 6M with built in timing curves and LX 92 coil with Thunderbolt Dist. Rob, your setup is exactly what I had and what I was going to reuse until I started wondering about relocating it off the engine. Thought it might help it to last longer especially since I guess Cranes future might be uncertain. Also I noticed while reading the online instructions that they may have added a couple more features to the newest box. Looks like an additional curve and some sort of anti theft feature maybe. From the website it looks like Crane and most of its people were bought by S & S (the motorcycle engine people?) and are still operating. Cocktails, I live near Buffalo. Boat hasn't been in water in years- a project I lost interest in and funds for. Finally finishing engines. I will be able to say I have the most expensive 23 year old Formula around, although I probably won't brag about it.

I live about 35 miles south of Buffalo. When I was using the boat I went to all the same places and up on the river alot. I kept the boat at the small boat harbor because it was closer and had wider floating docks. Friends keep theirs at the Erie Basin because they like to party downtown.
