I trailer my boat every weekend, sometimes after I'm loaded on the trailer and up the ramp I notice that the boat ia about
1" short of having the entire hull on the bunks. I have heard that a hook can develope in the hull, but how long would it have to sit on a trailer like this before that would happen. Thanks

One inch isn't a big deal, just jam on the brakes good on the way home and it will slide forward that inch or so

Young Performance

An inch isn't bad. Ideally, you want all of the transom on the trailer bunks. However, the transom is just over 2" thick, so some of the transom is on the bunks. This should be enough to take the load of the transom and not develop a hook.

thanks it doesn't happen often but bothers me when i do it. I do like the brake idea.... Ha Ha.!!!

Its surprising how much they move on wet bunks. My 24 usually would usually line up right at the end of the bunks and by the time I got home it would be about an inch forward. My cousins 38 does the same thing and it weights twice as much. All the more reason why straps are so important.

yeah definately have them cranked down especially some of the roads anymore. Pretty scarry at times.

straps look good to cops....don't do much in reality on a bunk trailer if something goes wrong...
