I think my lines are backwards, the black hose is connected to the "up" port on the pump and the gray hose is connected to the other port. I can't read the second port label where the gray hose is connected as it's smudged.

Hoses are not typical or standard color coded. If they are switched, swap them.

grey is normally "up"

Thank you for the heads up. I will move the gray hose to the up fitting and conform to the norm.
