i dont plan on going over 5400rpm, my 502 was propped at 5100 so i was hoping with a stroker and more torque i could pull close to 5400rpm, sounds like it would work?

Default mercruiser engine code identification

Mercruiser Service bulletin SMC-02-08 gives you Mercruiser GM engine code identification numbers and the location on the block. This chart will tell you what number was used for the engine block from mercruiser
