Insurance on TWINS!!!, (single engine guys need not reply)
Okay there have been alot of insurance questions lately and most are mind boggling.
People saying yeah put real HP numbers up, mods ect
that is fine, i have no problem not lying to the insurance company about that ect
BUT most of these guys are running singles
So you can have a single engine 28 whatever with 700 HP and they are still going to be less than a twin no matter what HP range your in.
You have twins, hold your ass is more or less what im finding out from the insurance companies
I just got a quote on my boat from Progressive for Pennsylvania Watercraft Quote
Your 12 month quote is $3510.00
Yeah , (long inhale) cough cough , want to lace this ghanga with some crack and heroin?

Anyway, on an older rig, with TWINS now (T330's) who pays what and where do you boat, Inland or coastal?

1200 / year from allstate 1998 38' Powerquest twin 650 Hp running on the great lakes. I have seen quotes all over the board high and low. Keep shopping!

I live in Michigan (Lake St. Clair)is where i Boat.I have my insurance from Total Dollar out of New York,Maybe because they know that a Michigan winter can be long that i will only use the boat half the year (If I'm lucky!!)But I'm covered all year.Hope this helps

I cruise on the oceans not lakes and that is included in my package. It will differ if you are a lake boater and will depend on your driving record.

cant contact Sy, he only insures boats over 50 grand
Im trying for a boat/trailer combo of 35-40 thou
That is part of the problem, few places turned me down for not having a boat this big before

Jay I think that you will pay btwn 600 and 1200 bucks. I know a big range but look at the coverages very closely they are not all the same. Make sure they include the libility and also the damage to the environment and perhaps your drives and such.
