I had the same problem with mine last summer and I only had perhaps 25-30 hours on mine. Seems like a really cheesy locking system to me. The tabs aren't that strong and with all the flex between the motor and the hull you would think that they would come up with something more secure.

Just in the bilge yesterday and saw the same thing. I have a 2000 Donzi with 150 hours on it. The tabs appear to have not been properly bent yet the top nylock nut appears in original location. Can you just throw a wrench and a bunch of muscle at the bottom nut and lift the engine back to original?
