Default 600sci and whipple stage 1

I'm thinking of having the whipple stage 1 done on my 600sci has anyone ran the stage 1 upgrade if so has there been any problems and does all the smart craft functions still work the same, also how many rpm's where gained?

See General Discussion section, search Mercury 600 sci upgrade documentation.
That thread is a very informative read that will answer all your questions.

I have read all the post on the 600 upgrade and you are right there is alot of good info. there. I would like to gain about 300-400 rpm's and was hoping I could find some people that have ran the stage 1 in a boat that could give me an idea how many rpm's were gained.
thanks John

You will definately gain about 400 rpm with a stage I

The stock 600sci only makes about 587 SAE horsepower on Dustin's dyno.
The stage I makes between 698 and 702 SAE horsepower on the same dyno, on the same day.

Regardless of what some may argue about how much horsepower these motors make... that is still a 113 +/- horsepower gain over stock.

I saw a 400-450 rpm gain on my boat with the Stage I.

Chris
