What you need to do is tell us what prop you are running and then we can go from there, a lot of these guys are running bb not sb with more power than you and it does make a differnce to get on plane .When you are loaded to go out is all the wait in the stern ( putting stuff under the bow might help )

Sorry for bein a rookie but is there a certain rule of thumb for boat size, engine, and prop pitch/blade? I'm with rex on this one, I would hate to have to put all of my stuff in the cabin and have my buddy stand on the bow just to take off everytime.

I think you got my point, if all the weight is in back getting on plane would be hard, its like a jet dont put all fat people on one side, just trying to help

Absolutely, I appreciate it.

Mine has a BB!! No issues here!
Change props!! |
I had a 22 Scarab with a 7.4L. It had a hard time getting out of the hole. We wanted to ski with it. I found that a 4-blade Bravo worked the best from the props I tried, but I didn't get to try any Hydromotives. I put tabs on, and feel it wasn't worth the money. The bb makes them real tail heavy. I used a 22 Bravo which was a little small but it got on plane faster and the boat worked better except for top end,the 25 Mirage was better. Doug

I looked my garage and i have a 22 pitch mirage 3 blade, 100.00 + 20 shipping. No nicks never been hit . If this would help
|
You would probably benefit with a 4 blade to get a better bite. With a load in the boat (and center gas tank full), your prop is most likely slipping too much. The 3 blades run good, and flat, at WOT, but don't get enough grab out of the hole. I'd suggest a Bravo 22-24 pitch (4 blade).

Sounds like I'll be purchasing a 22 pitch 4 blade and letting yall know how it goes if I get a chance to get her on the water next weekend.

That 3 blade i have would work well and give a little more on top end,,,, rember he is pushing it with sb 265 hp to 330 hp bb hey try it send it back if it dosnt work
