I have two MSD dist. # 8560 one day running about 5900rpm one of the 8 reluctor tabs broke off I see no sign of why it happened. Any experience with this out there?

in boats these dist seem to corrode badly, but mainly cheap chinese parts that are used even in high $$ american made products....had plenty of issues with their componants, the magnetic pickups in the newer dist are horrible..

well I pulled the dist and found the nut that holds the locked out mech. advance had come off. both these dist. were rebuilt buy msd 75 hours ago. I will now check the other dist. and fix this one nobody had replacement parts so I bought a new one and will now have a spare after the parts come in from msd
