Default Exhaust Extention Questions

I'm running a set of stainless marine gen II manifolds with the std bravo risers. I need to extend them a bit so I can run a bigger cam. Can I just extend the inner pipe 12" and run the rubber exhaust hose on the outside so I don't have to go thru the hassle of buying polished 4" exhaust tubing? I'm going to have the 3 1/2" tubing flanged and welded so I'm not worried about it flexing and cracking the weld. What I'm curious about is will the inner pipe stay cool enough because there wouldn't be a water damn past the standard stainless one.

Modified quite a few SSM risers. But not that way. I would not attempt it. To much hose. Do it rite and buy the tubing. Give me a call if you have any questions, 503 910.4735 Pete
