It could be done, but you really need one to model off of because they have an odd angle and shape. There are just pot metal so it would not be too hard to fabricate something from aluminum.

I just ordered a set from my local merc dealer, ouch....... I called Eddie marine this morning and they didn't know if they would fit. From his discription of the pin size they wouldn't. Plus they were still 20 a pop.

Does anyone have an actual picture of one of the ends? All I have seen is the parts book drawing. I may be able to come up with something if I have a better Idea of what the merc part looks like.

Are these guys still this hard to find? I have a broken one and all I could find was this thread on how to replace. Also I'm not sure how it attaches to the cable. 845281CLEVIS Control Cable
