I repowered my boat with VP 420 DPX engines. They both have power strng pumps. Is there a way to rig both pumps into the steering system so that either engine will power it? If not, what do I do with the extra pump? Feed the HP line directly into the return on the pump? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No, its a serpentine belt.

buy a fitting to connect the 2 lines together and your all done.
