I don't know the condition of the port engine manifolds yet. I do know
1. I was able to start it up and winterize it
2. I have a reasonably good 6 month old oil analysis on it
3. There was no white smoke in the exhaust last season
The reverse of all of these is true for the starboard engine
Here is what the inside of one of the starboard manifold looks like:
Note: I bought the boat in August of last year.

Every used boat I buy gets the exhuast manifolds removed the first winter. This is because most boaters pay no attention to the exhaust until it costs the $7,500.
Good Luck Rich.. and make sure you dissassemble the port side now!! Where are you on the chesapeake?

That is quite salty water down there. If by the slim chance all you need is heads and manifolds, I have a set of oval port BBC heads freshly rebuilt that came off a rebuilt long block I bought. I have aluminum heads I use. I'd sell them reasonalbly. Fraid your gonna need the works though... good luck again. Look at the port side!!!!!!!!!!!!!
