Default Ignition Problem need help

I just had my engine re3built due to overheating it. I was using the same set up a Thunderbolt IV system. well at first I had no Spark and replaced the coil with a MSD Blaster 2 coil and still had no spark, so I replaced the ignition sensor. and had it running for about 30 minutes. following morning, nothing. now I have no spark in #1, #3, and #7 cylinders, all other cylinder are good. I am running Moroso Bluemax wire less then a year old and no detriation on the out side, and same with the cap and rotor, they are both about a year old. no water, dirt, dust or cracks in the cap. anyt and all help will be great thank you

That is strange, you have sparks in 5 of the 8 plugs? And you say the cap, rotor, wires and plugs are good? Is the lack of spark unique to wire? For example, if #7 consistently did not have spark, I would try swapping a wire. If the problem goes away, it was a wire. If not, try the plug (actually do that first since it is easier). Do you have a twin engine. Might be the module is on the fritz and try swapping them. Typically if you have enough energy in one plug, all should fire unless you have a bad wire/plug/cap. Thunderbolts have 40,000 volts. I've been zapped standing on dry fiberglass...given the power of the stock ignition, it's very weird you are not getting sparks on all plugs.

Interesting. Did the motor run good (ignition wise) before it overheated ? Are you using the exact same ignition setup that was on the motor before the rebuild ? Did it run perfect for the 30 mins when you changed the ignition sensor ? Battery fully charged ? Make sure the ignition module (may be bolted to the exhaust riser) is grounded good. Make sure you have good grounds wherever your supposed to. Alot of guys rebuild motors, and paint everything, bolt stuff back together, and have "NEW" electrical gremlins. I'd see if I could borrow another ignition module from a friend to try if possible. Make sure EVERYTHING inside the cap/rotor area is perfect. Seems funny that it ran for half an hour, then nothing the next morning. It'll be something simple, you'll see.
