I will be installing some on my 240 (same as 24 Outlaw) soon. Somebody along the way had them on it before a long time ago and thus one of the reason's for the transom rotting due to a shoddy hole repair.

I don't plan on mouting them as far out as FBRONCO, probably about 4 to 6 inches in from the chine, parallel to the hull bottom.

I think i may pick up some mph since it wont do the death chine. she walks hard! what kind of steering did u install? the add on or full. i think im just gonna run the add on single ram.

The external steering was an add-on type, not full hydraulic to the helm. It was from WPM. Worked great.

with the add on steering you still get walk, I did and just kept into it sawing the wheel back and forth the boat ran fine as long as I kept my rhythm up and I got to 83 running out of prop. my k planes are close to the chine I'll measure them.

I had a set of 380s on my 240 sport, before I bought the boat. They were removed before I bought the boat, and I have alot of chine right now, I have my outdrive raised 3 inches too. I am installing a set of the eddie marines this winter, the biggest set they make. I dont see a problem with going bigger. Just dont do the whole trip and stuff move when playing in the cruiser wakes...

Ill be up at the shootout on the 11th..any word on what boats are gunna be there??

if you want to get rid of chine walk full steering will do it or get it close, with the add on you still have a cable running up the dash:party-smiley-004:, I just practice sawing the wheel back and forth more on flat water but not so much needed in 2 plus at 80 plus.

what prop are you running?

I have 2. running a 1.50 bravo 1... 24p bravo 1 labbed by mercury racing. 55-5600rpms. (New Livorsi gauges) runs solid 70's best is 72 with the 4 blade. also have some bullchit labbed mirage plus 23 can run about 5400. think she is over cupped. but i have got 75 out of her.

I have been playing the prop game for awhile. i think my next attempt will be a stock mirege plus 23. my best rpm range will be in the 55-5700 rpm range.
