Default Rebuild or Part out?

Looking at a boat for sale, that has some pretty nice equipment on it. The hull has some fire damage, so not sure if I want to fix it or just keep some of the parts and sell what I don't need.
Anyone know the going rate for a used 525SC (carb)?

Do you know how many hours are on the motors? If anything has been done to the motors? Will they run?

A 47 with triples that old is not going to be easy to sell.If you can get it cheap enough to make money parting it out I would go with that.

525SC's are going to be worth 5-7k each depending on hours.

Motors should run just fine, they all turn over and they are all complete. Hours are stated as unknown. Only 5-7 Griff? I would have thought at least 10-12, I sold a pair of 502EFI motors last year, IN PIECES and needing rebuilt for 9,500.
Are the SC's not worth much more than a 500carb or a standard 525? I thought the 525SC was 650HP, is that correct?

No. The 525SC is a 454 with a small 177 supercharger. They make 525HP at the crank i believe, and like 490 or so at the prop.

If you sold the 502EFI motors in peices for 9500, you got good money for them. Someone must have 20k into the pair of them after rebuilds.

Realistically, I would think that the 525SC's complete are worth 5-6G each IF they run, reasonable hours, and are complete freshwater motors.

the only issues that worries me about that boat your looking at is the snow in the back ground! did they winterize it??? Doubtful!!the one engine caught fire and the other two look good, looks to me like the blower belt let loose and when it hit the power steering lines and wireing it caught fire..looks like they put it out in time..yes theirs alot of good parts on the boat but with the minimal amount of fire damage thats on the boat which is not much it would be better to fix the boat.

good luck bidding!!

P.S. i bet the boat goes for over 60k
