Try not to re-invent an time consuming wheel that may not even roll

I can't see how I am responsible for your creative zeal here?
At over $15K for our stack fuel injection manifold system I don't think you would be buying one for your possible use. Raylar has a big inch (600) version of our CoolGap intake that will easily support 700-800HP and it works as designed and its a lot easier to buy than trying to build the thing you are trying to create from a half stock GM intake with your planned mods. Just cause it kinda looks like a efi manifold does not mean it will flow air correctly thru that maze! There is a lot of real air flow science in a good flowing and performing efi intake and just fabing something in this way will most likely not perform as needed.

That doesnt make any sense, when i emailed you about it and asked if i could buy just the intake you told me I had to buy the complete motor with transom for 25000. IF you had replied to my email with different options and prices of intakes. You might of sold one then

Regardless It will be similar to a 500hp intake, viper srt 10 intake, lt1 intake, ramjet intake. I plan on dynoing it on a stock motor with a stock tb. Which i am sure it will give up some low end torque but will breathe better up top. Since I am building it for my motor which isnt stock and I am running a turbo as well it should be just fine. I wil gladly post my results. For me it is time i have on the weekends while serving in the military. Cost so far to make intake 200 in materials and time.

I understand now what you are saying as you are on a boating website and you sound like you are talking about using the intake on a vehicle or truck. Two different animals. You could not really run the HO750 stack injection on a vehicle as such its strictly marine racing engine designed. As for the pricing you talked to me about I am not sure of what we were then discussing becuase the ciomplete HO750 engine is a $56K engine not $25,000. In any event good luck with your custom fab and project. Hope everything works well for you.

Well unfortunately the only places you respond to post are on a boat site and a diesel site.

And half the people posting in this thread are from the same sites I am on.

Yes I have an 8.1 in a truck, a 1500 no less.

I will post dyno results when i get it done. My aluminum for the top piece should be here today.

Thats a lot of freakin work! Wouldnt it have been easier to start from scratch with the intake gaskets by fabbing something like a sheetmetal intake?

xx_ED_xx 08-31-2011 03:51 PM

Not particularly, If i had a cnc to use probably. I was quoted 4500-5000 for a 3 piece billet intake or 3500 for a sheetmetal. The little bit of welding i needed done i had to have some one else do since I cant weld aluminum at the moment. right now I have about 200 bucks into it and about 9 hours

On 7/19/2011 Tyler PM'd me to advise that he completed the combo and dynoed it. I asked about pricing then and have not heard back. Suggest that you contact Tyler direct.
