I often ponder if Mercury ever reads this kind of stuff or flat out could give a crap ?? About a year ago I was ready to spend 37 k on two new Mercury 300 xs outboards for my 32 Skater and decided not to because of Mercury being out of touch with the end user and that end user is what made them great !! In the end had a pair Shaun Torrente 3 Litre EFI 375 HP built for about half of pair new 300 XS

Great news!
If you need someone to stand over them during disassembly to keep things honest, I would be glad to drive up there just for grins.
