Default gill hp 500 exhuast

trying to install a set of hp500 ex on my boat its a 89 330 454 and it is hitting everything,,,lol...its hitting the alt now its the fitting on the bottom of the ex,,,so has anyone had this problem??and how do i fix this ....help...lol

try swapping the manifold from one side to other. so the water fitting is at the rear of the motor. Had the same problem that fix mine. Hope this help!

What he said,,the fitting are soppose to face towards the outside front of the block or reverse them to the back..

Get a shorter alternator belt and adjust it inward as much as possible.

how abought rotten stringers?the lag bolts have nothing to screw into,,,

stuff a bunch of toothpicks in the holes and install the lag bolt

or

pour epoxy into the holes, drill a pilot hole and install the lag bolt
