looks like seal was defected or was damaged during installation... I'm happy because I was right..

So the reman motor you bought from jasper had a leaking rear main seal?

i thought I had just about everything in my shop but obviously not. Gotta get this on its way. Come in handy for multiple uses.

Michigan motors not Jusper.*

Forget about Jusper.. They don't have skilled mechanics...

I've had a friend or two use jasper sbc long blocks and never had any issues. About all I can say though. Michigan motorz evidently might need some assembly training. Regardless you got it fixed. Did you prime the engine oil pump prior to installing engine?

Michigan Motorz is clueless. One example alone -- Hell they were selling MEFI 5 marine Inboard engines listing them for sterndrives drop in, plug and play installs. Little did they know all the I/O installs where in for problems. Walmart marine pricing but have no tech info nor that knowledge period.
