400' X 60 ' pole barn ?s
looked at a 400' X 60 'X 14' pole barn this weekend and really interested and getting ready to fax over the paperwork this afternoon , if the deal goes thru i will be needing to paint or have her painted . what kinda material ? primer or can i just 1 coat gray colour ? any idea on square foot per 55 gallon of paint ?

That is a serious shop right there.:drink: My guess on paint would be somewhere between a whole lot and a whole hell of a lot.

Isnt there a painting forum for buildings somewhere ? Last time I checked...nobody on here was Amish. ;)

Why would you have to have it painted?
Mine came from: http://www.pioneerpolebuildings.com/ ..with this steel; and it doesn't need any additional paint: http://www.pioneerpolebuildings.com/warranty.html http://www.pioneerpolebuildings.com/color.html Steel has a lifetime warranty. |

gallon of paint covers around 400Sq ft. so at least 32 cans of paint. Then the same number if you get primer. I would get more cans of primer than paint so say maybe 40, start out with that then prime the thing, once you get it primed you will know how many cans of paint you need then go buy the paint. Buy to much paint they wont return it.
