i have a checkmate 251 that had a omc 460 then a volvo penta 415hp 502 efi that i just had rebuilt and put back in with a holley carb and thunderbolt ignition due to the ecu killing my motor. So heres my problem the throttle cable pushes instead of pulls on my carb linkage. do i need new contols? please help I want to go boating baddly with my new engine!!!!!!!!

Depending on your type of throttle, you can make the correction there. On my gaffrigs, there is a location for pushing, and one for pulling.

If you can'd do it up at the dash on the throttle either flip your cable mount bracket at the carb around or get a different one. I have some red anodized ones if you need one.
