How do you lose the screws???? They should come with each dist cap and are not meant to be removed.
A shot in the dark is that the dist shaft bushing is worn and wearing down the cap contacts.

Can't i take some sandpaper and clean up the old cap ?

no, the cap i bought i did not think the cap came with new screws ?
