Default Distributor Cap ?

Ok, i put a new one on along with new NGK plugs and Fuel filters.

And the Boat RUNS GREAT ! But, a week later It still runs great
but does not get on plane as it use to. But,you throw a new cap on it is is back running great !

I have had this issue before... and a new cap is a quick and simple fix.

I have lost 2 of the 4 hold down screws that hold the cap down. Can that lead to the cap getting somecrap on it and give me the sluggish issue i am getting?

How did the cap look when you took it off ? Whens the last time you replaced the coil ? Go to the junk yard and get the screws you lost...or try NAPA.

Buy one of these sir.

For $47 bucks...change it...then at least youll know you have a new one, and when it was done.

That is an MSD coil. If your asking about a complete MSD ignition system....I'd stay with what you have sir.

not if you actually want the boat to continue to start and run.
