Make sure your fuel pump can pump enough fuel and pressure. As your boost goes up your fuel pressure should also. If you run lean you will melt down the motor in very short order. If you do you may be lucky if you only melt a hole in a piston and not distroying the block or heads.

Don"t ask how I know.

re-did fuel system, #10 line from tank, H/P filter, aeromotive a1000 pump, and boost ref regulator with # 8 return to tank...no fuel pressure issues

I run 12-13 psi of boost on my 540 w/m-3sc on 93 octane but my base compression is 8.2-1 or so and I have efi, never melted down, 3.85 top pulley/aw 504 innercooler, I have a 3.70 pulley that makes 13-14 and I run a mix of 80% 93/20% 110 but not even sure its neccesary, Smitty
Are you running 8 rib or 12 rib drive, I might have a 4.25 or 4.0 8 rib pulley that I want to sell
