Tried the easy off without much luck, all it did was clean it. Must only work on certain types. I had planned to sand off and use the interlux performance epoxy but would rather save the gel if I dont have to spend hours and hours sanding and polishing. Will try a spot with the stripper next
If anyone else has a favorite technique post away. Media blasting was a grand plus need to sand and polish for sure. |
I still think you should just sand and compound it........... you could do it in a weekend +1day if you stick with it. It's not as bad as people think, I've done several 30 footers. The EasyOff looks pretty nasty! but if it works, hey I might have to give it a try!!
Good luck which ever route you take. |
I had a similar project last summer and tried everything listed here. I had the best results with Behr Deck Stripper and and rototip powerwash nozzle. It took 99% off and my paint was THICK!

Tried the Easy off, no luck. Tried the mild reccomended stripper with better than prvoius. Last tried the suggested Deck Stripper and it worked the best. I will still be taking it in for a light sand and polish. Howeevr saving myself a lot as the work is now minimal. Did not have BBehr brand so I used Jomax from Lowes dispensing from a garden sprayer and hit it with power washer. Will try to post up some pics soon. |
