Yeah, why not? You can use any diesel oil in a gas motor, just not any gasoline oil in a diesel.

didnt know if there were different additives for diesel as for gas

Well, there is different additives for diesel, to control the soot and byproducts of combustion, but they are overkill for a gas engine. In a gas application, its just gonna keep that engine that much cleaner.

I ran the Amsoil 15W40 Marine/Diesel oil in a 454 for a couple of seasons. Great oil.

I wouldn't recommend running a motorcycle oil in your boat engine. Motor cycle oils have less friction modifiers for better clutch performance.

So, what. Does your boat engine have a wet clutch?

Amsoil makes three different types of high Zinc content oil for harder working engines. The reason for the low Zinc in current automotive oils is that the Zinc causes the catalytic convertors to deteriorate.

Don't believe everything you read. I have been using motorcycle oils in all my vechiles for 20+ years and have never replaced a cat. Last car had 257K on the stock exhaust when I sold it.

Any info on Amsoil Z-Rod 20-50 (ZRFQT)? Supposed to have more anti-oxident and corrosion inhibitors. I was thinking of changing from Amsoil AROQT.

They are both similar products with the major difference being TBN. The ARO is stronger in that department. But here are links to both spec sheets for you.
