New York State DOT no surge breaks on a trailer pulled by a comericial vehicle over 10000 gvw .Electric only! already been red taged on this one. Had to get my suburban to tow the trailer out Paul

Paul,
You can do a combination of the Kodiak discs (you would only need two axles done = 12000#). You can then leave the surge coupler for now or convert to electric over hydraulic later. The electric-hyd coupler & truck controller are about $500.00 plus labor.....I am doing the Kodiak's with the surge for now.
I will probably start mine next week at Discount trailers. It's not worth the headaches with as much wrong as was on mine!
Bearings, seals, races, complete brake assemblies, polishing axles, etc. Plus, what are you going to do with the mess left over???
