I have recently found out that to the letter of the law the state of Florida requires any trailer with GVW >3000# to have brakes on all wheels. (I have a tandem with just brakes on front axle). So I am adding a second set, it looks like trailer guy used a poly/nylon line for the master cyilnder back to calipers. I like the fact is it corrosion proof . Is the fittings standard flared brake lines. (I am looking at ho best to "T" existing). Also I have never bleed a surge brake system before, I assume I can use a hand vacuum pump?

They are probably push fit. Best bet is to cut out the "t" fitting on the front axle along with 1/2" of hose and take to the trailer shop. You will need a four way and another T for the back axle if that ones not reusable. You can bleed with vacuum pump.

I have a neighbor friend who is a DOT officer. I asked him and he did some digging and to the letter of the law every wheel must have brakes. True there are exceptions but they are primary for mobile home transport etc. He also said he had to do some digging to find it and asked some long time officiers (he is pretty new at the job) and if they stop you with no brakes your getting a ticket, brakes on one axle, no ticket. What concerns me is the gray area and if I am ever involved in an accident the gray area going against me. I ordered second set from Kodiak, it is worth the $$ for piece of mind.
