Stange engine issue HELP
My engine runs too good.
I have a very strange issue suddenly with my Merc 383 EFI stroker motor in my Velocity. When I turn the key off at the dash the engine continues to run. It is running full so it is not dieseling. Further, when I turn the key off and pull the lanyard, the engine continues to run. Moreover, when I turn the key off pull the lanyard and turn the battery switch off the engine continues to run. It is not the key switch as I replaced that already and I just had the alternator tested by my local alternator guy and he said it is running fine.
Any ideas?

It sounds to me like your ignition is not wired correctly. It is most likely powered directly from the alternator and not your igniition switch. You need to isloate that wiring and get it direct to the switch and lanyard.
