I hate to see this happen to any of us..This thread and pics makes me feel so much better about my decision not to run mine for Labor Day weekend though..I just bought my boat and have had issues with Port engine from the start..bought her as a project and bringing my bird back to life..ended up finding a blown head gasket after a shakedown to figure out what the issue was..pulled the heads and in my haste to try and use the boat before I shipped out didnt have them decked and checked since they were last rebuilt in 06 and I plan on pulling both and doing total rebuilds and upgrades in a few years anyway..just wanted to get some island time..after bolting them up I did a compression test and found that one cylinder was only getting 60psi compression..so obviously pulled heads and sent into machine shop to have repaired out of fear of dropping a valve..after seeing your carnage I am glad I made that call..good luck with your rebuild

Can you remember how much they cost? I'm in no hurry, so I'm shopping around a little bit between the Manley, Ferrea, REV, etc., valves. I have REV's in it now, but they are a step down from inconel. Seeing issues like yours and Full Force's, and after talking to Bob M., I just can't take the chance since the engine is coming out anyway.
