#6 Dry Sump service?
Had some questions on maintenance of my drives / transmissions:
How often should I change the gear lube in my #6 dry sump?
What is the best gear oil to use?
Is there service I should do on the transmissions? How often?
Thanks!

fluids
We change our drive fluids every 50 hours of run time on our dry 6's. You should use the oil from Mercury which is TORCO transmission fluid. As for the transmissions, it depends on the rpm you go into gear at and how much hpower you ave in front of them. We also change ours at 50 hours. Its easy enough so why not. You might want to use a good synthetic fluid in the trans. We use Royal purple and the clutches looked great after 75 hours with 1100's in front of them.
