I would have a hard time not switching to roller cams while you have the mills apart. Because with my luck at 100 hours I'd lose a lobe or two off of one of the cams and be kicking myself in the a$$ for not making the switch while the motors were out of the boat.

.030 over, cleaned head and block surfaces(pistons are .010 below deck at TDC, Crane 16HR00110 cam I .610 298* and E .632 306*, Chillers, 3.5 pulley, stock ECU and ignition, 200 hours, 704HP. No black soot, no melted pistons. Dyno fuel #'s were great and the engine was still making power when the limiter kicked in.
Nice, what kind of speeds are you seeing? What is your rev lmt set at after the ecu map?

My cam just fricken broke. Fortunately it was in front of the last two lobes so those two valves shut and the rest stayed in time. Of course the engine died because the distributor wasn't turning.

just 104 huh?

Are you side by side or semi staggered?

What drives? Props? I must know more!

With the changes you made do you feel the drivability issues were resolved keeping the stock ECU? My issues on both are super rich, high idle after runs, long warm up time with loading up.

Thanks

Did you bump up your fuel pressure? I cant believe the stock cals work that well. I would think the limiter is limiting peak HP. Are you running chillers?
