Oil PRESSURE gauge sending unit is fine at the rear of the block.
Oil TEMPERATURE gauge sending unit needs to be before the oil cooler, and Raylar in past posts has recommended it be installed in the base of the remote mount oil filter. I put mine there and it reads what I'd expect. You need to drill and tap a hole for it, slightly off to the side of the center threads, coming in from the bottom.
