Default running circulation pump w/o water

3 times last season i got junk in my water intake and got motor up to to buzzer temp.

I replaced the seawater pump, but didnt know what effect this would have on the circ pump..

How long can the circ pump run dry?

i think your fine, if your refering to the actual eng water pump on front of the engine there is no rubber parts inside to burn up like inside the raw water pump/impeller...

You still had water in the block so it did not run dry.

If the seals run dry for any length of time they will start leaking.

Yeah, you can burn the seals, and even scorch the snout bearings.
But if you don't have any water leaking out from behind the pulley, you're good.

As long as no water is dripping out the weep holes, then it is fine.

you would damage more than the circ pump if you got it hot enough and dry enough to do damage to it.
