Default 650HP Small Block!

In this months issue of Hot Rod magazine they show a 357ci small block that'll rev to 8k rpm. Max hp (652.3) is at 7K and max torque (507.4) is at 6100 rpm.
All built with used NASCAR parts.
Muscle Motorsports is a dealer of used Winston Cup parts and sells to the general public. They are currently starting to sell complete engines set up for hot street use. All components are as close to current race technology as you can get. Even the splayed valve GM SB2 heads are available.
Blocks (SB2) come in dry and wet sump versions.
Compression ratio is not 13:1 but 10:1 and still pump out 650hp.
The cams are custom grind Comp Cams roller type for street use.
Valve train is full race 8k rpm capable.

Wouldn't that make a screaming SBC powered ride?
The price is on the steep side but worth the bragging rights.

That's pretty impressive Iggy.
Thanks for posting that. It would really make for a bad-azz street ride.

I wonder if my alphas could handle that...hmmmmm.

I do have a couple of bowtie 400 blocks currently in use. Naaaaa. I think my wife would kill me. She almost did over the last SBC's I build.

A friend of mine is having triple 600 HP. small blocks built for an ex offshore boat (40' Activator) he picked up. Given they are blown, but should be an interesting ride.
