the only reason DEAN GELLNER might have been behind on a build, is he is that good # 1 , #2 a small company meaning he is the talent and the one working on your STUFF. not like the other guys who now use there name and have others working for them do the work which can be so so.#3 when your a small company you never want to turn away work and try your best to GET HER DONE.#4 when 2 different teams win in different classes at key west worlds the same year.( Deans motors have won on other yrs too) you get busy.your the man DEAN Happy New Year, everyone goes WOW when they see that motor in the saber.

I know this is a pretty old thread and all, but I just wanted to say that it's been very informative, and I'll be using a lot of what was talked about here on my 454 Mag refresh.

I have a set of Pro Topline 502 heads (put together by a really good shop) on my 454, and I'm going to be upgrading the valvetrain to a full roller set-up. Hoping to get into the 475-500 HP range.

How did the refresh on the Mistress work out?

I went a different route, bought a buddys old boat with 547CI 600 hp and dropped those in, sold off all the old parts and the rest of the boat I bought and made all my money back, the Mistress now runs 73.5 best so far sure is MUCH more fun....!!

That's a nice upgrade!!
