Thought my starter was bad because it just turned over but did not engage. Turns out three teeth on the flywheel broke off. Does anyone have any advice on replacing the flywheel. Is there any advantage to going to a lighter one? It seems it should rev faster, but I don't know if that is true with a boat. Any advantages/disadvantages to going lighterd? Recommendations?

Pick one up at the parts store, tap yours off with a hammer and block of wood. Heat the new ring gear on the gas grille and drop it on, make sure it seats properly. Might take 15 minutes start to finish.
