Is there any way to pull trouble codes from a 97 454 mag fuel injected?I know you can pull codes on some cars by jumping terminals on the DCL conector can this be done on a marine engine?

I think you need a Merc "scantool" to get any info from the computer.

I don't know of any other way to pull codes without a Quicksilver Scanner. In the old days, you could pull codes from a car by jumping the a + b pin at the aldl connector. That would cause to " check engine " lite to flash out a code. But those days are long gone in cars also.

I bought an inexpensive scan tool from Rinda Technologies. Works A-OK.
