Before you spend a lot of money for the stern of the boat check with Radio Shack -- I think they still carry a DB-Meter ....$25 or $30 Check the level coming out of the boat at the distance they told you at the state pd office and then decide for yourself .... unless you are running headers on the new boat I think you can skate by with doing nothing or at the least external flappers on the pipes ....... I think the level will be around 86 db on the A scale . Good luck!!!!

When I looked on there website this summer to check if they were building clamp-ons again all they showed was inline, inserts and stellings inserts. A friend tried to buy some when they went back into business a few years ago and they told him they no longer make them and haven't for years.

If you have a link to some GGB clamp ons would you put it up as I am still looking for 1 to complete mine, thanks, Smitty

I ran my Switzer on Cayuga lake a few times this year. I have through hull exhaust with stock manifolds. I launch at a ramp which is next to a police department and they dock their boats there also. I dont run a choke on a carbed 454 so i have to rev it a bit to warm it up and they dont even look my way.
