Hi 28 Eliminator, I already have another home for that engine. My Sea Ray needs a new engine to make it sellable. I will put it together stock & be able to sell it as a running & reliable boat. The Sea Ray & the side mount setup will be for sale to help with the cost of this project. If things work out I will have 2 items available for someone to use & enjoy at a price that is reasonable. I will have another 502 when I pull it out of the Sea Ray that was overheated. I will post if it is any good when I get there. Randy

It sounds like you got a lot of work ahead of you, but that is a good plan (just keep the gremlins out). I would be interested in the overheated 502 if the short block is any good, once you get that far along. It's time to start planning another motor project. Keep us updated on the new motor for the 25!

Thanks Randy, I will keep my ears open for anyone looking to get a side mount whipple, although it seems like most people are buying newer boats with newer engines. I love the looks of that top mount whipple you have, and that is what a few guys around here are using on the newer setups.

Thanks 28Eliminator, I am supposed to pick up a complete FI system soon so I should have everything to bolt this system together stock and with the blower ecu & all for a reasonable price. I believe it will be easier to sell that way than just a blower & manifold. I like the windshield on your boat, wonder if the dimensions are the same. My little shield thingies start folding back at about 70mph & its like shoving an air chuck up my nose & hitting the lever LOL.
|
LOL air chuck! I helped a friend fix his 25' 01 eagle last year, and it is very breezy. It makes a huge difference in wind pressure and I'm glad I have the shield. I could measure his and compare with mine if you are interested in getting one. I have heard they are expensive as heck though, something like $1200-1500

I would appreciate that as I can look around. I think yours is the first eagle under 30ft that I have seen with a windshield & I like the look. As for the air chuck we could get creative to entertain ourselves or get out of working on a jet ski!!LOL

I will see if he is around this weekend and try to take some measuments. In fact he still has my rinda scanner I need to get back. When ever I ride in anyone elses Eagle I am amazed at how well that wind shield works. It is still breezy, but pushes the majority of the wind over your head. If you want the wind just sit up a little higher or sit on a throwable cusion.
