Default Merc trim Tab Ram removal.

I'm trying to remove my rams on my 280 tabs. The lower pin seems frozen. Does anyone have any tricks on removing them without damaging..

Christ....I just did that last week. It was not easy I used a press and alot of heat from a torch and it still was a *****. You might want to just leave them in and spray penetrating oil if it is seized.

its a stupid design..merc should have pressed a bronze bushing into them and we would not have a problem getting the pin out..i have a adaptor i made up and tig welded together that screws on to the threaded part and most of the time after the penetrating oil and letting it sit for a few days they sometimes come out..
